Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record basic vital signs (e.g., temperature, pulse) and report abnormalities to supervising nurses or doctors.
Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in conversation, and participate in recreational activities to combat loneliness and improve mental well-being.
Meal Preparation & Nutrition: Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions (e.g., low-sodium diets for hypertension), assist with feeding, and monitor nutritional intake.
Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning tasks in patient areas (e.g., changing linens, tidying rooms) to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
Medication Reminders: Prompt patients to take medications as prescribed (note: aides typically do not administer meds unless certified in some regions).
