Meal Preparation & Nutrition: Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions (e.g., low-sodium diets for hypertension), assist with feeding, and monitor nutritional intake. Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning tasks in patient areas (e.g., changing linens, tidying rooms) to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. Medication Reminders: Prompt patients to take medications as prescribed (note: aides typically do not administer meds unless certified in some regions). Observation & Reporting: Monitor for changes in behavior, physical condition, or mood (e.g., signs of confusion or pain), and report promptly to supervisors. Safety Assurance: Identify and remove hazards (e.g., clutter that could cause falls) and follow protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
