I have gained hands-on experience in geriatric care through previous roles in residential and outpatient settings. My responsibilities included assisting elderly individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility support, meal preparation, and medication reminders. I also provided emotional support and companionship, helping to enhance the overall well-being and quality of life of the residents.
I worked closely with nursing staff and family members to ensure individualized care plans were followed, and I maintained accurate documentation of care provided. This experience strengthened my ability to work with empathy, patience, and attention to detail, while also developing strong communication and teamwork skills.
